Steven Enman-Beech, R.Ac.: Registered Acupuncturist

Steven Enman-Beech

Steven is a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac.) with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. He graduated from Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine in Toronto, Canada with a Diploma in Acupuncture & Moxibustion. This multi-faceted education program included training in tuina massage, cupping, guasha (scraping), shiatsu, herbology, and internal martial arts such as Tai Ji, Qi Gong, and Xin Yi,  as well as advanced seminars with Kiiko Matsumoto (Master of Japanese-style acupuncture) and acclaimed sinologist and translator Elizabeth Rochat de la Vallée.

Steven’s practice is strongly influenced by the work of Dr. Wang Ju-Yi and Dr. Daniel Keown, which is based on the fundamental belief that traditional and modern medicine are complementary approaches to the same system. This is one of the fundamental laws of yin and yang: each apparently opposite aspect also supports and nourishes the other. If the relationship between yin and yang is applied to the relationship between traditional and modern medicine, we see how each can make the other more understandable and effective. Western science is discovering new ways of looking at concepts that traditional healers have been describing for thousands of years, and traditional approaches to health care are providing new directions for Western medicine to explore in the treatment of difficult conditions. You will encounter this application of yin and yang theory  working with Steven, who offers a solid traditional approach with a significant modern influence.
