T.CM. is a holistic system of health care that originated in China several thousand years ago. Therapies include acupuncture, herbal therapy, Tuina massage and therapeutic exercise. TCM views the body as a whole and addresses how illness manifests itself in a patient and assesses and treats the whole patient, not just the specific disorder.”

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most common, and dependable medical therapies in the world. It is by nature a simple and safe health care practice. Since the 1970s, when acupuncture first gained popularity in north America, it has been proven, by an increasing body of scientific evidence, to be not only exceptionally safe, but statistically effective as well.

Acupuncturists use sterile disposable needles to needle specific points re-direct the flow of blood and Qi (energy). Pain occurs in areas where blood and energy (Qi) stagnate. Needling these point helps to unblock these areas and resolve pain, prevent disease, and restore the balance of body.

People receive acupuncture for many different reasons. The World Health Organization has deemed acupuncture as effective treatment for up to 100 different diseases.
